Mrs. Chen, born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, has traversed a remarkable journey blending her passion for science, business, and education into a fulfilling career. From her early aspirations of pursuing medicine to her current role as a seasoned professional in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, her trajectory reflects dedication, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Her academic journey began with a fervent desire to enter the medical field, driving her to earn a Master of Science in nutrition. However, her path took an unexpected turn during a gap year between high school and university, where she worked at a medical lab while concurrently attending evening classes at Mico College to reinforce her foundation in physics and chemistry.

After completing her master’s degree, Mrs. Chen embarked on her professional journey, starting as a medical representative for Lederle, later transitioning to Wyeth Ayerst Lederle. However, her innate curiosity and inclination towards integrating science with business led her to explore the pharmaceutical sales sector and eventually venture into FMCG.

In her role as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a distribution entity, Mrs. Chen found fulfillment in contributing to the development of individuals and teams, recognizing people as the cornerstone of organizational success.
